Grooms by Meg Policies
A few things you need to know before you get here. . .
*Please keep your pet on a 4' (non-retractable) leash, or in a carrier at all times
Please walk your pet before entering the salon. If your pet has not done "his business" yet, there are ample grassy areas all around the salon. Please do not allow your pet to potty anywhere near the entrance where others may step in it!
Please inform the groomer of any medical or behavioral issues your pet may have. Grooms by Meg is not responsible for veterinary expenses due to pre-existing conditions. If your pet has a history of aggression you do not divulge, you may be held responsible for any damages your pet may cause. Please be forthright so your groomer may take the proper precautions.
Payment is due at time of services. We accept cash, check, and credit/debit cards. Grooms by Meg will not extend credit on services rendered. There is a $35 fee for returned checks.
Please wait until called to pick up your pet. If you just 'drop by' your pet may still be on the table and if he sees you, may become very excited. Under no circumstances are you to talk to your pet during the grooming process. Wiggly pets are easily injured! Please wait for your groomer to call you. If you have a question, call us instead. Please also refrain from speaking to other pets being groomed. You may be held liable for any pet's veterinary expenses if it is injured while you are interacting with it.

Your groomer understands that sometimes you may have to change or cancel your appointment. Due to the scheduling nature intrinsic in one-on-one style grooming she requires that you please give at least 48 hour notice for any changes you need to make to your pet's appointment. She understands that emergency situations may arise and will work with you accordingly, but not on a continual basis. Failure to give at least 48 hour notice of a cancellation or rescheduling will result in a 'loss of income fee' being assessed.
If you would like anything changed with your groom, or notice any new health issues with your pet after her appointment, let your groomer know the instant you notice, no more than 24 hours after pick up. Changes in hair cuts beyond 24 hours after your appointment may result in additional charges. Any injuries occurring during the grooming process will manifest less than 24 hours after the groom (if not immediately). If you notice something beyond this time, it is not related to the grooming. Your groomer will ALWAYS let you know of any accident or injury that she is aware of. Some minor issues (such as abrasions, allergic reactions, etc.) may not be immediate but will be able to be noticed once the pet settles down at home. Call your groomer as soon as you notice, so she can assess the problem and advise you on what to do. Grooms by Meg will not be responsible for any veterinary expenses incurred unless the owner contacts the groomer prior to any vet visit. In order to be reimbursed, the veterinarian must diagnose the condition (in writing) as being directly caused by the groom.
